Any Tommy Boy fans out there? Seriously funny movie, people. Adam and I still use many quotes from that movie because there are just so many dang funny ones. Today one specific favorite applied... Here's the background...
Tommy (who is very funnily overweight and an absolute disaster in every area of his life) is sitting on a park bench talking to his friend Richard. He is discussing how everything has gone wrong- he lost his factory, his girlfriend is mad at him, his family is trying to take everything away from him, etc etc. Then the park bench collapses out from under him. All he says is "Could have done without that."
We had a "could have done without that" moment today....when Adam's wallet was stolen right out of the front seat of our car which was sitting in a horrible area of a really scary town- right in the ghetto with the doors unlocked... oh wait... no... that's not right. IT WAS SITTING IN OUR DRIVEWAY!!!!! With the doors locked. They popped the lock completely out. So that's fun. They took and used all our credit cards and debit cards and bought themselves some movies and some gas and whatever else sneak thieves buy. Seriously people. Like I have nothing better to worry about right now. I hope those stupid movies really suck.
Could have done without that.

You could've WAY done without that! Sorry to hear that Amber. Thieves have guts. We have been leaving our DVD player and my ipod and stuff laying in the car lately for quick trips into places. We will take note and learn from your poor mistake. I hope the movies stink too......and that they run out of gas on a REALLY long stretch of lonely highway! :-) hee hee.
This blog is funny. Not b/c of the whole wallet thing. B/c you're a funny writer. I totally agree with Kara. May the theives run out of gas, may every movie that they bought be scratched, and may ticks bury themselves in hard to find places! Ha! That should get them.
